Vincents Solicitors offer Three Training Contract places
There are far fewer training contracts around than law students, but three local law graduates are celebrating the news that they have all been offered training contracts with local law firm Vincents Solicitors.
With the number of training contracts on offer falling by 18% last year Vincents are bucking the trend by offering 3 new contracts at their head office in Preston.
Managing Partner Phillip Gilmore commented “All three graduates have worked with us at some point whilst studying for their degrees and have impressed us to the extent that we couldn’t make a choice between them. Thankfully we have seen another year of continued growth for the firm which has created opportunities for good people at all levels at Vincents.”
Sarah Davis, Jonathan Lavery and James Yates are the lucky local law graduates who have won the contracts fighting off intense competition in the market.
“Praise must also be given to both James and Jonathan who both qualified with First Class Degrees from the University of Central Lancashire, whilst Sarah qualified as a mature student studying part time whilst bringing up her daughter,” Phillip added.
Sarah told us “It’s fabulous to get a training contract after all of the hard work I’ve put in to start a career in law. I’m looking forward to developing my career with Vincents where I’ve had such super mentors.”
Jonathan who is currently working within Vincents Civil Litigation department said “I’ve found that working with an experienced partner has given me sound knowledge and the opportunity to ask questions when needed.
Overall I feel that the training I will receive at Vincents will stand me in good stead in the profession and I am really excited about my future career with the firm.”
James who is currently in the Criminal department and is working towards his Police Station Accreditation commented “This training contract will allow me to continue my development across other areas of law and allow me to progress towards my goal of qualifying as a Solicitor.”
