New Lancashire Women in Business event returns

Storytelling and connection

Women in business from across Lancashire are invited to join the second Elevate event which is being held in Preston next month. Following the huge success of the first Elevate event in June, organisers have extended the guest list from 50 to 60 to meet expected demand.

Founders Lisa Lodge, from Vincents Solicitors, and Liz Cliffe of Towers and Gornall, want to bring women in business together through conversation, shared experiences and purposeful connection. The pair launched the Elevate concept in the summer with a sell-out evening at the Wild Fox Distillery in Inglewhite.

Brucciani’s in Preston will host the autumn get together on Thursday October 22, where guests will hear from three speakers throughout an evening of storytelling, conversation and connection in a welcoming, relaxed setting.

Lisa said: “This isn’t a typical networking event, it’s more about women coming together to just be themselves and find like-minded people. Our aim is to provide a warm welcoming atmosphere and share honest stories and make real connections all within a beautiful, thoughtfully presented setting.”

The event will start at 5pm with a thought-provoking and engaging conversation with Amanda from Mrs Dowsons Farm Park, followed by a relaxed discussion with Julie and Jackie from the Business Health Institute. All will be sharing their business journeys, successes and lessons learned, with honest insights, to encourage real conversations between women in business.

Liz added: “Elevate grew from our belief that many women who are incredibly busy and doing amazing things professionally, are looking for deeper connections within their business world. Whether someone comes along looking for inspiration and support, or ends up being the one to provide that to someone else, there is a place for everyone at Elevate. We hope our guests will enjoy the opportunity to hear from those who have been there and done that – to learn from others’ experiences – and to find support in navigating their own challenges and growth.”

Many guests who attended the first event have already signed up for the second.
