Vincents Solicitors appoints new senior litigator
George Mushahwar specialises in commercial property and civil litigation
Lancashire law firm Vincents Solicitors has appointed a new senior associate in Preston. George Mushahwar is a commercial property specialist and civil litigator, working on behalf of landlords and tenants in a wide variety of commercial transactions and disputes.
He is taking on commercial property cases concerning everything from sales and purchases, to leases and licenses, as well as property-related disputes issues such as breaches of lease, possession orders, easement and right of way disputes.
George will work closely with Vincents Commercial Property director Sophie Mercer and managing director Phillip Gilmore as part of the firm’s 13-strong commercial property department, servicing clients across Lancashire and the north west.
He will also handle the firm’s contentious probate litigation and estate dispute cases in support of the Private Client department. This can include challenging the validity of a Will, undue influence claims and claims made under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
Phillip Gilmore, Vincents’ managing director, said clients would benefit enormously from George’s arrival. He said: “George is a skilled litigator who has a strong track record in securing positive results for his clients. He also brings that experience to his commercial property cases, ensuring clients have the best guidance at every stage of their transaction.

We are committed to building a team around George and enabling his development of this area of the business.”
George joins Vincents from Dickinson Parker Hill in Ormskirk where he worked for five-and-a-half years and was a partner for nearly three. Prior to that, George was at Kevills in Chorley for almost five years, where he worked his way up from paralegal to qualified solicitor. Prior to his professional career, George completed his LLB Law with Business Studies degree at the University of Birmingham.
George said: “Entering into litigation is a stressful time for any client, so I ensure they’re kept updated with frank and honest guidance throughout their case. I will be building a team here at Vincents, but my clients will always get that personal service from me.”
