Rhian Cumming – Conveyancing Executive

Rhian Cumming is a Conveyancing Executive at Vincents Solicitors, working in residential conveyancing. Rhian has spent four and a half years in the field and handles freehold and leasehold sales, re-mortgages and transfers for clients across the firm’s Lancashire offices.

Experience and specialism

Rhian’s caseload centres on freehold and leasehold sales, re-mortgages and transfers. Following a recent promotion to Conveyancing Executive, Rhian is now taking on more responsibility, including building up an independent caseload across these areas.

Qualifications and background

Rhian began working in conveyancing in 2021 as assistant to Callum Dudley at Linder Myers, before moving to Vincents in November 2022 as part of an existing team transfer. That grounding in residential conveyancing has developed into the caseload Rhian now manages at Vincents.

Notable cases

Rhian recently worked on a case involving an unregistered property where the deeds had gone missing. By tracing several different avenues, Rhian located the deeds and brought the transaction to a timely conclusion for the Executor, who had recently lost his friend.

Working with clients
Client satisfaction is what matters most to Rhian, particularly making sure clients feel comfortable asking questions throughout the process. Moving house is stressful enough, Rhian says, without clients feeling unable to approach their legal adviser. Being someone clients can talk to openly is central to how Rhian works.

At Vincents
Rhian joined Vincents as part of an existing team alongside Callum, and felt welcomed by a firm that was genuinely glad to have them on board. What stood out compared to other firms was a sense of security and steadiness. Rhian is looking forward to growing the residential conveyancing service in Lytham, gaining further expertise, and expanding into residential purchases as the team develops.

Outside work
Outside the office, Rhian enjoys city breaks and live music with a partner, and is a longstanding fan of the band Kasabian, catching them live whenever they tour.
