Commercial property solicitor qualifies with Vincents

Tia Grimshaw attains LPC with Distinction

Vincents Solicitors commercial property lawyer Tia Grimshaw has qualified as a solicitor.

Tia, who is based in the new Poulton office, has completed her training contract with the firm and is now fully qualified to practice as a solicitor in her own right.

As part of the commercial property team under Commercial Property Director Sophie Mercer at Poulton, Tia works with clients from across the North West purchasing, selling or leasing commercial property and land.

The 24-year old began her training contract with Vincents in 2021 after graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Law from the University of Liverpool in summer 2020.

She completed her Masters (MSc) and Legal Practice Course both with a Distinction from the University of Law last summer, and has since completed her final Solicitors Regulation Authority modules.

Tia said: “I am really pleased to have completed the many years’ of training and become fully qualified as a solicitor. Qualification is a proud achievement for me and I am so grateful for the support I’ve had from Vincents and in particular my colleagues in Poulton.

“I will still have the support and guidance of the senior solicitors, and will continue to draw on their knowledge and experience, but I am definitely ready to start making a name for myself and building my own client portfolio.”

As a commercial property specialist, Tia covers all aspect of sales, purchases, re-finances and leases, acting for both Landlord and Tenants, and can assist with property transactions made within a SIPP. Tia is available on 01772 269 929 or by email tiagrimshaw@vslaw.co.uk

She is also an active supporter of the firm’s community initiatives and last Christmas organised the company’s contribution to Operation Christmas Child which saw more than 30 care packages and gifts shipped out to children across the globe.

Phillip Gilmore, Vincents Solicitors managing director, congratulated Tia on qualifying. He said: “Tia has worked extremely hard and progressed quickly during her training contract, securing top marks at every stage. She has established a strong reputation for her tenacity, precision and knowledge, and has demonstrated a natural ability to develop trusted client relationships which will stand her in good stead throughout her career.”

The Lancashire law firm is in the process of recruiting its next cohort of trainees and is set to offer a number of training contracts. Vincents also provides alternative routes into law for candidates without an undergraduate law degree via Professional Apprenticeships and in-house training programmes.
