Apprentices x2 (Preston office)

We are looking for two school leavers to join the firm as apprentices. You will be able to learn the main areas of law firm administration from working in our reception area and in our personal injury team. You will need GCE Maths and English to Grade C level or above but most of all you need to be willing to work hard, learn quickly and show that you can provide excellent customer service to our clients. The role will include a day a week in college and you will have the opportunity to gain further qualifications through Preston College’s apprenticeship training modules.

Paralegal (Private Client Department, Garstang)

If you have legal experience and wish to retrain as a fee-earner in our growing private client team, helping mainly elderly clients. You will have sufficient legal experience to learn firstly the administrative element of wills, trusts, probate, Court of Protection, powers of attorney and probate work. You will need to be able to show that you have the potential to develop into fee earning role, advising clients on these aspects and carrying out their instructions.

Salary: £18,000

Head of Commercial (Senior Commercial Property Solicitor)

We are a strong regional practice in Lancashire. This is a great opportunity to lead an established commercial team dealing with commercial property, company and commercial and litigation.

You will manage a small team and work closely with the Board on the development of the team, compliance, supervision, as well as expansion plans and business development. You will also be expected to run your own commercial property caseload.

You will need to have gained a minimum of 5 Years' PQE in commercial property and be able to show clear leadership and business develop success. An understanding of, or some experience in, the other main commercial disciplines would also be advantageous.

We will be offering a competitive basic salary for the right candidate, with a performance related bonus included in the package. The right candidate, if successful in the role, will be offered the opportunity to join the firm’s Operational Board at Director level. In the future, if you are successful in the role, you are likely to be considered for executive level roles and equity would be seen as a possible next step.
