The importance of a Financial Remedy Order as part of your Divorce Settlement
Mark Mosley Head of Family Law at Vincent’s comments that todays Supreme court ruling in the case Wyatt v Vince reaffirms that if Divorcing couples do not obtain and retain indefinitely a Financial Remedy order settling their financial matters then either party can apply to the court years later for one.
Mark said what could be a simple agreed position based on a couples current wealth could turn into a financial disaster years later particularly if one of them goes on to be successful as is the position in the Wyatt v Vince case. For those going through divorce even if they have nothing to divide now they should still obtain a court order dismissing each others claims.
