Vincents’ Poulton team sets £1,000 Cancer Research target
Nine-strong team enters Blackpool’s Race for Life this July
All nine members of staff at Poulton’s Vincents Solicitors have entered the Cancer Research Race for Life in Blackpool this summer. The 5km charity run takes place on Wednesday 2 July 2025 along the Promenade, starting and finishing at the famous Blackpool Tower.
The team comprises Sophie Mercer, Yasmine Dragan, Sarah Baker, Sophie Wane, Lauren Lees, Samantha Kenyon, Kieran McGahey, Evie Williamson and Esme Ikram. They have set a £1000 fundraising target and are already two thirds of the way to their goal.
Sophie Mercer, head of the Poulton branch and the firm’s commercial property director, is delighted by the support they have received so far.
She said: “We’ve already raised more than £750 through the generosity of family and friends, and some clients and professional contacts have also made donations which is lovely.”
While some of the team are seasoned joggers, most are not expecting to smash any personal bests.
“We’re doing this to raise money for a fantastic cause and to encourage positive health and wellbeing within the team, but we won’t be fast !
“We’re going to stick together in our matching t-shirts, soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying a lovely team bonding experience,” Sophie added.
Vincents is supporting the team with a donation and providing the t-shirts.
