Legal Accounts Assistant - Preston

As a result of continued business growth, we have a vacancy in our Accounts team for a Legal Accounts Assistant. You will be joining a friendly accounts team and supporting the Finance Manager and our team of Solicitors in collecting outstanding debt promptly and efficiently. You will have experience in a previous credit control role and will have previous knowledge and experience in managing a debtor’s ledger. You will be responsible for working with a busy accounts team and supporting with the banking of client and office account receipts, dealing with payment requests, managing bank reconciliations and processing supplier invoices.

Essential requirements for this role would be GCSE Math’s and English, the ability to work with a friendly team, exemplary attention to detail, and confidence in dealing with both internal and external clients. You must be able to demonstrate good organisational skills, excellent time management, ability to manage conflict and great customer service skills.

This is a full-time (Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm), office-based role and successful applicants will be required to work from our Preston office.

Probate Paralegal – Lytham Park Street

As a result of continued growth, we have two vacancies in our Probate Team for experienced Paralegals or Legal Secretaries. You will be joining a friendly team of experienced Solicitors and Administrators with expertise in estate planning. You will have experience in administering probate files and have sound knowledge of the legal process in Estate Administration together with a grounding in documentation relating to the assets and liabilities of the estate. You will also have an understanding of the formatting of estate accounts and completion of HMRC forms.

Essential requirements for this role would be GCSE Math’s and English, the ability to work with a friendly team, exemplary attention to detail, confidence in dealing with clients in potentially difficult family circumstances, an empathetic nature, and good organisational skills and time management.

The role will involve the collecting of financial and estate information to assist case progress, interviewing families and people connected with the case file regards assets and inventories. You will also be responsible for drafting estate accounts and applying to the probate registry to obtain grant of probate. This is a Full-Time, office-based role and successful applicants will either be required to work from our Lytham Park Street.

Commercial Property Assistant

As a result of continued growth, we have a vacancy in within our Commercial Property Team for an experienced Assistant.

Essential requirements for this role would be GCSE Math’s and English, the ability to work with a friendly team, exemplary verbal communication skills, good customer service skills, and confidence in dealing with queries for clients in a fast-paced and often pressurised environment. Ideally you will have some previous legal experience and ideally have some previous experience in dealing with Commercial property and or dealing with landlords.

The role will involve general administration of transactions, checking that deadlines are being adhered to and ensuring that the Property is on track for completion, communicating and liaising with clients and Solicitors and chasing for any required information or documentation required. You will be responsible for ordering the relevant searches and supporting your fee-earner to enable them to report to the client on all legal aspects of the transaction. You will be responsible for informing clients of payments to be made and liaising with the Finance department with respect of monies received and logging payments on the case management system. This is a client facing role and you will be expected to conduct yourself in a professional and appropriate manner, whilst always being articulate, friendly and smartly presented.

This is a Full-Time (Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm), office-based role and successful applicants will be required to work from either our Preston Head office or Lytham Jubilee House office.

Post Completion Clerk

As a result of further expansion, we have a vacancy in within our Residential Conveyancing Team in Chorley for an experienced Post-Completion Clerk.

Essential requirements for this role would be GCSE Math’s and English, the ability to work with a friendly team, exemplary verbal communication skills, good customer service skills, and confidence in dealing with queries for clients in a fast-paced and often pressurised environment. Ideally you will have some previous legal Administration experience and ideally have some previous experience in dealing with residential property and a good knowledge of the Conveyancing life-cycle.

The role will involve general administration, scanning and organising documents in preparation to send to the Land Registry. Checking notices that may need to be served and working closely with the fee-earner to understand and process files. Managing caseload to ensure post completion of the property sale. Good Microsoft office experience is essential and the ability to problem solve and use ones own initiative is desirable.

This is a Full-Time (Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm), office-based role and successful applicants will be required to work from the Chorley or Penwortham offices.

Experienced Commercial Property Lawyer (Preston)

We are seeking an experienced commercial property lawyer with a good solid knowledge base and experience of both commercial and residential sectors to take a technical lead in our growing team and to provide reliable and efficient support to our Head of Commercial, Craig Aikman and his growing department. You are likely to have over 8 years experience in property law and experience of being responsible for staff development within a team. Experience of investor portfolios, off plan work as well as a broad range of commercial transactions. This is a key role and the right candidate salary will be commensurate with the degree of knowledge and expertise that you can bring to the role.
