Michael Sandys

Michael has recently joined Vincents to head up Corporate and Commercial. He has over 20 years of experience having previously been based in Manchester and then Liverpool. He qualified as a barrister in the early 90's and then went in-house working for a well known telecommunication company and then cotton traders based in Liverpool. He has experience of both transactional work such as buying and selling businesses and drafting and advising upon commercial agreements. He also has experience in contentious areas such as shareholder disputes, agency and intellectual property disputes.

He specialised in Intellectual Property and Media Law from an early stage acting for well known brands in the clothing and retail sector as well as businesses in the IT and entertainment sectors, and has been involved in some high profile cases at the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Michael is currently one of the Area Leaders for FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) and represents and assist SME's across the North West.

Outside of the law, Michael enjoys politics, travel, fell walking and music. He spends time with his family and has three children.
