Property team expansion continues for Vincents

Lytham-based lawyer adds to service offering

Lancashire law firm Vincents Solicitors has expanded its property team with the appointment of Deborah Orritt. An experienced conveyancing solicitor, Deborah has joined the growing Lytham-based team, providing residential property services to homebuyers from across the Fylde Coast and beyond.

Deborah was recruited by Vincents’ head of property Craig Aikman, to support the rapid growth of the firm’s residential property work. In addition to building her own portfolio of local clients, Deborah is assisting with an influx of work for buyers of new apartments from city centre developers in Manchester.

Craig, who oversees the property teams in both Lytham and at Vincents’ HQ in Preston, said: “We are continuing to see the results of a strong residential market here in the North West, thanks to a combination of government incentives and pent-up consumer demand.

“Our workload is split between the local market, where there is notably increased movement particularly in larger higher value properties thanks to the Stamp Duty Holiday, and the dynamic Manchester scene where there is a significant number of new apartments coming to market.

“Schemes like Help to Buy are allowing first time buyers to get onto the property ladder with new build and, as panel approved solicitors for several developers in the city, we are busier than ever.

“We are extremely lucky to have secured the services of an experienced and highly personable conveyancing solicitor in Deborah, whose excellent technical knowledge and genuine approach will be an asset to our team and to our clients.”

Deborah, who joins Vincents from Birchall Blackburn in Leyland, qualified as a solicitor in 2016 and specialises in sales, purchases, re-mortgages and equity transfers arrangements. Her arrival boosts a team which has also welcomed a number of senior fee earners this year including Luke Robinson.

Deborah said: “Coming to Vincents and working as part of this team opens a range of new opportunities and a clear progression for me as a property specialist. I’ve been given the chance to develop my own network and client base around the Fylde Coast, while also working closely with senior colleagues to support our developer clients which is an exciting new challenge.

“Despite the restrictions of seeing people face-to-face, communication with clients remains my highest priority, ensuring they are kept up-to-date with where things are up to. Vincents has a range of solutions which allow me to provide a fast and efficient service, which is key in this very busy market.”
