Vincents are supporting Resolution’s third Family Dispute Resolution Week which will take place 24-28 November this year. This awareness-raising week aims to highlight the alternatives to court for separating couples and their families.
Mark Mosley head of Family Law explains It can be difficult to know what to do or where to go for practical support and advice following separation with the vast majority of people believing a costly court battle is inevitable, its not. There are alternatives to court that have at the heart of them putting the clients back in control, that seek to minimise conflict reduce the stress and pain for the client, their former partner and importantly any children concerned.
You don’t have to go to court if you and your former partner want to resolve matters a number of option are available, such as mediation, collaborative practice and arbitration. These alternatives seek to support and assist you and your partner achieving fair, long lasting solutions that work for you and your family.
