LASPO receives Royal Assent
Following the news that the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2010-2012 bill has been given Royal Assent and therefore passed as an act of parliament Mark Mosely, Head of Vincents Family Law team commented "With the granting of royal assent to the LASPO our fears are that many vulnerable people will now be denied access to legal justice, especially children caught up in their parents bitter divorce. Children will have no one protecting their rights because far fewer cases will be issued as a result of their parents not having the means to do so. As a consequence those parents will carry on in dispute to the Childs detriment."
