Vincents launches new Lytham branch

Firm expands with seventh Lancashire office

Lancashire law firm Vincents Solicitors has launched its seventh office with the opening of a branch in Lytham. Providing personal and business legal services to people across south Fylde, the new office is at 25 Park Street in Lytham town centre.

Lead by Chris Mathews, Vincents’ recently appointed head of Private Client Services, the office will be home to two solicitors, two legal executives and two support staff providing family legal services – including divorce, child and elderly care matters, wills, probate and lasting powers of attorney and residential conveyancing. The office will also provide a base for visiting solicitors from across the firm, ensuring clients get access to the full range of legal expertise Vincents offers.

The purchase of the building signals Vincents’ long-term commitment to the town. Refurbishment of the office is already well underway with a new look reception and meeting room, with further internal improvements and modernisation to follow.

Heading back to his familiar stomping ground, following a brief spell at Vincents’ head office in Preston, Chris expects to welcome many of his former clients and new ones. He said: “I’m pleased to be back in the Fylde and extremely proud to be leading the firm’s first office in Lytham. We will be providing a wide range of legal services for the local community and access to top quality professionals with a friendly and welcoming approach.

“I’m pleased I was also able to bring with me an experienced team from my previous firm and we’re all looking forward to welcoming not only clients we know, but also clients new to Vincents. We want to be the town’s first choice for legal services.”

As head of Vincent’s private client services department, Chris also aims to increase the range of services people would expect from their local law firm. He said: “In particular I will be supporting older people and their families, helping get their affairs in order and ensure that they are cared for throughout their lives and their relatives after death. With a growing elderly population, it is vital they have correct and cost-effective advice on planning for the future. The standard of care they can expect is also an issue, and Vincents has a dedicated part of the business which particularly focus on services for the elderly, Carepal, which can assist if required.

“This new office will also be useful for people with business interests across the county to come through the Lytham office and access specialist experts in corporate, commercial, property and employment law.”

Headquartered at Winckley Square in Preston, Vincents Solicitors has five other regional offices in Garstang, Longridge, Knott End, Penwortham and Colne.

The Lytham launch is part of an ambitious company-wide expansion programme, set to double the size of the business by 2017 by targeting new markets, building on existing strengths and expanding the geographic footprint. Vincents has already seen turnover grow in the last 12 months by 20 per cent, to over £4m, and an increase in fee-earning staff across the business by 25 per cent over the last six months.
